Depop fees for US sellers
In 2024 Depop removed its 10% selling fee for sellers in the US. What remains is the payment processing fee charged through Depop Payments, which is 3.3% of the total transaction plus $0.45. The total includes the shipping the buyer pays.
If you pay to boost a listing, Depop charges an 8% fee on the total transaction, but only when the item sells through the boost. There is no upfront cost for boosting.
Shipping on Depop
You can use Depop’s prepaid shipping labels or ship yourself. With Depop shipping, the label price is taken from the buyer’s payment and never reaches your payout. If you ship yourself, enter what you charge the buyer and what the label costs you, and the calculator shows the gap.
Is Depop cheaper than other resale apps?
With no selling fee, a $40 item with $6 shipping costs about $1.97 in Depop fees, which is roughly 4% of the order. Most other resale marketplaces take 10% or more. Boosting brings the total closer to 12%, so use it on items that would otherwise sit unsold.
