Your two options
- Depop shipping: Depop provides a prepaid label, and the cost is paid by the buyer at checkout. It is simple and the label cost never touches your payout.
- Your own shipping: you set a shipping price, buy the label yourself and ship with any carrier. This can be cheaper for heavy or unusual items, or if you have discounted rates.
Fees on shipping
Depop’s processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45, and the 8% boost fee if used, are charged on the total transaction including shipping. Charging exactly your label cost still leaves you a little short.

Free shipping
Offering free shipping can make a listing stand out, but you pay the label. On a $35 item with a $6 label, free shipping cuts profit by nearly $6. Raise the item price to cover it, or use free shipping only on higher-priced items.
Packing costs
Mailers, tissue, tape and stickers can add $0.50 to $1.50 per order. Enter them under other costs so they are part of every calculation.
Choosing
Use Depop shipping for light clothing and simplicity. Use your own labels for heavy items like boots, coats and bundles where you can find better rates.
