Listing fee
Every listing costs $0.20 and lasts four months. When an item sells and the listing has more stock, Etsy renews it automatically for another $0.20.
Transaction fee
Etsy charges 6.5% of the total order amount you set: item price, shipping and gift wrap. It does not apply to sales tax.
Payment processing
For US shops using Etsy Payments, processing is 3% + $0.25 per order. It is charged on everything the buyer pays, including sales tax.

On an $8 item, fees take about 15%. On a $75 item, about 10%. The fixed parts make very cheap items less attractive.
Offsite Ads
If Etsy advertises your listing on another site and that ad leads to a sale within 30 days, Etsy charges 15% (or 12% for shops with over $10,000 in yearly sales), capped at $100 per order. Read the Offsite Ads guide before you price.
Other possible charges
- Currency conversion: 2.5% if your listings are in a different currency from your bank account.
- Etsy Ads: the on-site ads you choose to run, billed by daily budget.
- Etsy Plus: an optional monthly subscription with extra tools.
- Shipping labels bought through Etsy.
Pricing with fees in mind
