How it works
You choose a Bump rate as a percentage. Reverb promotes the listing. If a buyer finds it through a Bump placement and buys, the Bump fee is charged on the item price. If not, there is no charge.

At a 6% Bump rate, $36 comes off the profit on a $600 item. That is worth paying if it gets the sale weeks sooner.
When Bump makes sense
- Competitive listings, such as popular guitar models with dozens of similar listings.
- Items you want to sell quickly to free up cash.
- New listings that need a push to get initial views.
When to skip it
- Rare or unique gear that buyers search for by name.
- Items already priced below the market, which will sell anyway.
- Thin-margin items where Bump would wipe out profit.
Try a price drop first
Sometimes a small price drop does more than a Bump. Reverb notifies buyers who are watching an item when its price drops. Compare the profit from each approach with the calculator before choosing.
